Same people arguing that 2022 isn't Bad Bunny's breakout year are the same ones who didn't dare to compare him to Drake in 2018 or even 2020 when he dropped 3 projects. It's only in 2022 when he drops an album and puts up massive numbers that the Drake comparisons begin lol. That's what we're always saying: y'all wait till an artist catches fire and immediately bring Drake up but y'all also expect Drake fans to never notice that or point it out. And just so we're clear, if Bad Bunny's album wasn't as massive as it is, y'all would have used Harry Styles' numbers to go at Drake because y'all can't help yourselves.
That tells you all you need to know about Drake's place in the game. He's the standard and the one to beat. That's why he's always being called to reference when the success of other artists are being discussed.
All I'm really saying is you're doing a disservice to Bad Bunny/every other artist y'all bring up in comparison to Drake because they're all forging their own paths/legacies. Drake is set. Nothing/no one is taking what he's accomplished from him. Learn to celebrate the success of others without using it to try to cut Drake down to size lol.
