dude is in here unironically saying he misses generic music and bigging up Kesha
There was a thread a few days ago about the how the OP thought the hits of the year 2010 were amazing, but damn near every song was complete garbage
Pop music has improved so much from the 2000s and early 2010s

They had some fire music. Way different than Kesha or whatever radio act 1 hit wonder from the early 10s.
What’s next niggas hyping up Megan Trainor?
Maybe try expanding your taste further than the same few hip hop heavyweights? There’s hella fun music out there lol.
For me personally a big reason I enjoy music is seeing other people enjoy the same songs too
if I like a song & then go outside and hear other people listening imma enjoy it way more. If I'm the only person I know listening it's just not as fun. There's a lot of fun music in the underground still, but it's kinda dull when no one is really talking about it and I never hear it irl

It's just changed a lot in an arguably bad way, none of these pop songs released in the last 2 years can really touch Party in the USA/Happy/Uptown Funk type songs in an "appeal to everyone" type way. Everyone loved those songs
in terms of artistic merit then yeah pop's probably got better, but in terms of it being catchy enjoyable music then I have no clue how anyone can argue it has got better.
Detroit and Memphis rap is like crack. There’s so much great music out there but this site still stuck on the same 5 rappers for the most part.
Saw your other post quoted and was about to mention Detroit/flint rap lol
Tbh Michigan might be putting out better music than the heavyweights rn

Meet Me Halfway is still an amazing song

More of a Rock That Body man myself
Sometimes I hop on YouTube and just replay songs from this era like American Boy, Meet Me Halfway and Ready for the Weekend era Calvin Harris. Simpler times

This video deserves more praise imo, it's insanely well done and choreographed

These some songs I remember being big over here

Good troll 😭
The song is from 2019 and it's blowing up after he's been performing it at the One Of Them Ones tour with Lil Baby. Let's F***ING go. One of the most underrated songs in the last couple of years. It was a part of the deluxe to Indigo. Such a dope track, hope he sees the success of it and drops a music video. It could smash that way
