IANAHB1 sold 110K. Tha Carter 3 directly before it did 1 million and Tha Carter 4 directly after it did 960K. You can’t compare the IANAHB series to Tha Carter series when it comes to sales at all.
ianahb1 wasn't intended to be an album on release. it was just supposed to be a ep. ianahb2 had a traditional album rollout.
You can’t make a case that the reason C5 outsold IANAHB2 was because of a 5 year wait when both C3 and C4 outsold IANAHB1 by over 800K in the same era. If anything C5 should have sold more than it did comparatively and we all know it would have if it dropped in 2014 instead of 2018.
Carter 5 sold amazingly first week, it still has the highest non-Drake streaming week to this day
Copenhagen = Kendricks home

The obsession with Kendrick’s d*** makes a lot more sense now
Donda has surpassed CLB on the charts

Please post the positions of these albums next week.

But you have no problem comparing Honestly, Nevermind's numbers to CLB's numbers? I don't know why I keep forgetting that the only time you lose all common sense and form of reasoning is when it comes to anything regarding Drake. Thanks for the reminder.

How exactly are CLB/HN sales applicable to the 5 year gap sales discussion I was having with 1889?
Ok enjoy coping I guess
Says the person who just wrote entire posts making excuses for why one Lil Wayne album didn't perform as well as another. I thought there no excuses and Drake fans were coping? Lil Wayne doesn't need you to cope for him.

Which excuse did I make? The IANAHB series vastly underperformed Tha Carter series at all points in time. No 5 year gap or otherwise had anything to do with it.

So you have the common sense to understand that certain albums by certain artists will perform different to other albums by the same artists, yet that logic escapes you when it comes to Drake? Interesting

What’s there to understand? IANAHB were all flops. HN is a flop. It’s pretty simple.

At the core of your discussion, you're comparing one album by an established mainstream artist vastly underperforming compared to another album by the same artist, yes or no?
What’s there to understand? IANAHB were all flops. HN is a flop. It’s pretty simple.
Then why are you coping for Lil Wayne trying to explain why IANAHB was a flop? That's my point. Someone compared an IANAHB album to an album from the Carter series and you jumped in to try to explain why one didn't perform as well as the other.
Anytime people have tried to offer the same context regarding HN in comparison to other Drake albums, you've responded with stupid and ignorant posts so keep the same energy now. Wayne doesn't need you to cope for him.
-81 that's crazy

No, 1889 was stating (disingenuously) that C5 got a sales boost because of the 5 year gap after IANAHB2 which every single person that follows sales knows is false.

Why is that argument false? Didn't it perform exponentially better than IANAHB2?

When did I explain why IANAHB was a flop (or care about it at all)? My only point is that C5 sales were harmed, not helped by its delayed release.

How were C5's sales harmed by its delay? It's the bestselling Wayne album since C4 lmao. You're delusional if you thought a C5 album in 2016 or even 2017 was gonna do 1M+. That was never gonna happen. Most of Wayne's commercial appeal had fizzled out by then.

Are we really going to disingenuously go in circles? The IANAHB series as a whole significantly underperformed Tha Carter series at all points in time. To the tune of 90% less sales. C5 being the lowest selling album in the Carter series has nothing to do with the wait after IANAHB2.
