@Darkest_Angel Nobody is forcing the word flop. Here's exactly why it's considered a flop, written by one of the biggest Drake stans on this website

    Damn you got em

I forget that some of you don't understand the concept of changing your opinions on something following the provision of more information/understanding. I wonder how y'all operate in the real world.

Anyone who has been here for more than a year knows that I will always say what I feel about a song/album the moment I hear it. Y'all act like because I'm a Drake fan, it should be illegal for me to dislike something he drops. It doesn't work that way. There are several Drake songs (especially leaks) that have dropped that I've thought were wack and I state that clearly. If my opinions on those ever change, I'll state that as well. Ain't nothing to it.

Honestly, Nevermind was always going to need to grow on most people. Very few people listened to that album once and "got it." Drake himself understood that and that's exactly what's been happening. Like I said, the first few songs off the album threw me off (many other people felt the same way), but the album takes a turn on track 4 and maintains that consistency till the end of the album and when you take your time with the album, you realize that it's as solid a body of work as Drake has ever released. It might just take you letting go of your idea of what a Drake album should sound like to realize that.

It's at least 10 times better than CLB

If you couldnt hear that on 1st listen

It's easy to say Ye peaked bc he literally forgot how to rap years ago. Drake can rap and still make good songs so saying he peaked is subjective.

Ye still made KSG and Donda with a lot of good songs. Rest he dropped = mid tho

Drake dropped HN (not much rap tho) and a lot of mid

So I don't see much difference. Sure Drake flowing better nowadays, but his subject matter way worse. So they both have their pros and cons. Both def peaked long ago tho

Some of the best verses of Drake's career have been released in the last 5 years lol. Best songs, too.

Kid Cudi carried KSG and Donda was carried by its features. It's easy to point out how far ago Kanye peaked because dude legit cannot rap anymore. It's like he forgot how to do it. All his verses have been mid at best for like 6 straight years now. Even when he manages to rap with some life, the bars are like a bars written by a 7 year-old.

That's not the case with Drake. If anything, Drake is a better lyricist and rapper technically now than he was 6/7 years ago and he's still making GREAT songs, either as a solo act or as a featured act. You can't say that about Kanye. It's not the same thing.

Go to every Drake project since IYRTITL and there are INCREDIBLE/ALL-TIME Drake songs on each of them. You can't say that about Kanye's projects over the last 6 years. Don't know how y'all are trying to draw an equivalence to them being in the same place artistically. It wasn't always the case but Drake is making far better music today than Kanye can even hope to.

    Still writing novels of cope

If you gotta write multiple paragraph essays every day for a month about a topic to convince yourself, it’s probably easier to admit it’s just not true instead of living in denial.

Absolutely. His melodies are what made that album what it was. He brought all the emotion/feels to the songs. Kanye rapped on most of the album but Pusha T still had the best rap moment. There's a reason why KSG sounds so different/better from the solo Kanye album that dropped around the same time and that reason is Kid Cudi.
