Modest and honest streams>getting carried by Tik tok bait
For example nobody is listening to that Jack Harlow album. It’s sales are carried by first class(mid song btw)
Kendrick remaining in the top 10 shows that people are streaming the album in moderation.
It’s like a great movie you come back to every once in a while. This album will be played and talked about for the rest of the decade.
People are not streaming the album in moderation.
CLB, DAMN, etc probably had like 10+ songs still top 100 at this point. Like Bad Bunny's album.
The entire album is doing poorly, and there's no one or two songs saving it because it was just absolutely that panned. It doesn't take much to be top 10 on the Apple albums chart when Post Malone's album that bombed on arrival is also #11.
I don't listen to Mid Cudi, but Ye himself said he was inspired by the singing and rapping fusion and especially Day & Night. Which is why Ye enlisted Plain Pat for production and Cudi himself for writing.
Glad I could teach you something about hiphop
so you didnt even LISTEN to either of those projects and have the audacity to come in here acting like 808s cloned them
cudi inspired 808s via certain melodies and writing choices, and some sounds here and there. but AKNC sounds absolutely nothing like 808s dumbass

808s is Kanye’s most hands on project since, and you could argue his most hands on since it’s the only one that has solo Ye beats without samples (Get Em High being the exception)
drake needs to send jimmy to radio

If his team is smart, they'll send it to Rhythmic/Urban radio once Sticky peaks on those formats.

Man the smug boomerism is wild lol
Wow I can’t believe Post is out of the top 10 already
I don't understand why so many big names are flopping relative to prior success
That's crazy. Chris Brown dropped a 24-track album and couldn't even manage 90M US on-demand streams.

Obviously I've heard Day & Night and that alone could have been a single off 808s lol.
"West credits rapper Kid Cudi, who had signed to his GOOD Music record label, with helping create the album's stark, brooding sound.17 After receiving a copy of his 2008 mixtape A Kid Named Cudi, West became an avid fan, especially of the hit single "Day 'n' Nite"."
Just looked through your threads to find out you're a delusional stan, thanks for wasting my time
Well why didn’t you post it again and tag all the users? Why are you covering for drake
What are you hiding!

Puts it all in perspective. Many artists are dropping albums and can't even do 100M US on-demand streams. It's ridiculous the expectations placed on hip-hop artists.
i don’t get how big energy is so big
the solo version is sum ass
mariah remix is a bit better but that’s not the one ppl are bumping for some reason

"Day & Night could've been a single off of 808s"
It doesn't sound like a single song off 808s. Maybe the melody of the hook is like a sped up version of CW, that's the best comparison I can think of
Which is exactly the point. Cudi was signed to GOOD because Kanye wanted his help with melodies and writing, which is mostly how his influence shows up on 808s
