I can tell the same about sales

Sales show that the majority of a population enjoy something while GRAMMYs are all politics. Sales are much more trustworthy

Think of all the forced beef on Drake

    Common
    Meek
    Pusha
    Cole (subtly)
    Kendrick

These were pushed by the higher ups for a decade.

I didn't claim it's never been done before neither did I claim the whole album was like that but to think this is standard mainstream affair is crazy

Doesn't matter that it isn't "standard mainstream" or not. It's a mainstream rap album and Kendrick is a mainstream rapper so what's all this talk of his beats being weird as a way to defend his low numbers? Because that's all I'm seeing you try to do.

Is there a rule saying you can spit faux conscious bars over trap/drill beats than I don't know about?

It's wild people trying to paint Drake as a hated figure in the game when everyone loves him

How isn't he a hated figure? The people who love him are his fans.

Most people in the industry hate his guts but they can't do anything to stop him so they just tolerate him but whenever he's "down" in any way, they all pop up, supporting whoever is going against Drake.

It's something Cole has spoken about in songs and interviews. It's not news.

Imagine releasing an album that's supposedly SO GOOD that people listen to it less and less as time passes? What does that mean?

I never said Damn sales made the music any better but it did elevate him to a new level of popularity

And YES, in music, sales, ESPECIALLY sales over a long period of time, INDICATES QUALITY OR AT LEAST THE PERCEPTION OF IT. Debate with your drunk uncle.

Common sense dictates that nobody keeps streaming an album day after day, week after week, month after month and year after year if they honestly believe the songs on said album to be bad. I'm not playing a song I think is wack over and over so y'all's argument that Drake is making the worst music on the planet but is still doing the biggest numbers for 13 years running now is and has always been stupid.

According to some of you, Drake hasn't made a good song in 7 years but yet people are still listening to his music more than the music of the niggas y'all claim are making better music so who is lying?

When I said "y'all" I didn't mean YOU, I meant Kendrick fans in general. That was their argument for the success of DAMN.

No but Kendrick while established isn't a hittmaker like Drake. Not everyone is gonna wanna return to songs like We Cry Together and that's fine. Others do
