e tYeah, I don’t really get the shade for it. I can see why bundles are sheisty but moving actual albums is a W
probably because we all use first week sales as a measure of who the most popular artist/album is
meanwhile a rapper can sell 101k first week (100k pures no streaming) and have 101k people listening to the album
vs
a rapper selling 100k (0 pures) which is equal to 150m streams (2 million people streaming a 15 track album 5 times each)
it's pretty obvious which album is more popular, but everyone on here would tell you the first is. Gets even worse with some artists who get fans to buy multiple copies of the album first week.

kiddash3ri mean sure but if people buy it it means they want to own an actual physical thingy as opposed to only stream something.
It gets exploited(for example BTS) but it's an indicator that there are actual people who purchase it
I don't know any hiphop fan that's under 21 that actually buys albums though? why would they, especially in this economy. no point unless you're tryna collect the vinyl or get some special benefit
