Nobody ITT gonna respectfully acknowledge this but one thing I really admire about Drake’s commercial performance is his willingness to just sell whatever he’s going to sell without pushing gimmicks. Could’ve added a few minutes to Scorpion to make it a double disc for RIAA certs, added bundles or dropped the album price when DLDT was first projected to debut at #2 behind Concert Bundle Chesney, etc.

Never once did merch bundles when he very easily could’ve pushed hundreds of thousands of units every album to his devoted, merch-hungry fan base. That low-hanging fruit must’ve been hard to resist, but he did.
