Vinyls barely count for 50k albums not even. And no one is really buying physicals anymore
Show me other artist that is 20 years in the game and doing ye numbers .
Eminem? Wayne with Tha Carter series?
Jay Z never seems to drop without some deal attached to it but maybe him too?
I give ye that his flow was still polished on it. And Violent Crimes prod pretty af
Obv donda better but Ye sounding off there at times
true as f***. his flow on yikes was like the last time ive heard him actually get into a pocket and not sound like he's hyperventilating
ye is a fantastic record too, very underrated
No I would’ve said “How could you be so sure?”
@thegreatdivine got a hit thread for sure😭
I used to dream of times like this
You really going back and reading every single page of this thread?
Definitely. Thread too juicy not too
I like ye because its down to earth. Probably the reason why the general population is f***ing with this album. I wish the album would be longer and more fleshed out tho, I understand why some people saying it's mid but the production is beautiful
Honestly wish his next album is more down to earth talking about him struggling, his mental health and the divorce and dealing with the consequences
Donda Kanye best album
Drake selling more Kendrick and j cole newest albums combined in streaming era. Is absolutely insane
Lol
Kod and damn combined for 1.01 million fw
Scorpion 732k fw
Offseason and Kendrick new album about to 600-610k
I used to dream of times like this
With kendricks replay value do you think there’s a chance the streams plummet and he fails to get 300k
true as f***. his flow on yikes was like the last time ive heard him actually get into a pocket and not sound like he's hyperventilating
ye is a fantastic record too, very underrated
Ye would be more loved by his stans when he didn't dropped it after the slavery/maga s*** tbh
This has got to be the most stupid nigga on this site
Over me getting a sales thing wrong??
Surely there’s other people to be befuddled at
The fact Kendrick doing what donda did first week and donda dropped on a Sunday
the big 3 list needs to be edited and Kanye needs to be on there
Eminem? Wayne with Tha Carter series?
Jay Z never seems to drop without some deal attached to it but maybe him too?
Their last albums did around 250k
Mr. MoraLe and The Mid Sellers
You had a 2 week ban bet on mr morale selling more than clb right?
Seems youre banned now buddy
Ye did pretty well for only 7 tracks. Like 5/7 tracks went viral on TikTok and also 5/7 tracks have over 100m streams on Spotify, with Wouldn't Leave following soon. The stans hating on this album but the general population f***ed with it.
JIK on the other side isn't even platinum yet but it's by far his worst album and all the Yandhi hype with the leaks turned off many people at that time
as far JiK is concerned I honestly love Every Hour. Follow God, Jesus is Lord and Hands On are pretty good too. Ty's vocals on Everything We Need are crazy. the LA forum Sunday Service show was fire. the Balm in Gillead and Ultralight Beam versions on the Sunday Service album are great.
it's an over hated era. we were always going to get a gospel album from him with how much the genre's meant to his music. Just wish he'd been more on form when he did it.
there's good moments inside meh songs on Ye so I can see a snippet going viral on TikTok but as a whole that album is his worst to me. Every song has a good idea but most of them find a way to f*** it up. I really like Wouldn't Leave though. All Mine is decent. Violent Crimes reminds me of Throne for some reason lol
these are obviously still undeniably good numbers
but surprised he's not doing a bit more than this. Isn't that what Ye did for Donda? You'd expect Kendrick to be way more popular than Ye in 2021/2
kanye is the goat bro
Bro we’re in a f***ing sales thread and people talking about album quality
If you wanna talk about quality of album there’s threads for that lol
I think clb is f***ing garbage haven’t heard it since September
But from a sales perspective. Drake and Kendrick been getting compared to each other for 10 years
Clb sold double of Kendrick new album,
Drake obviously now by far the biggest star in rap
I’ll take your b****
My b**** is a man now
