A lot changed since that year. See the drop from Views to CLB
Kendrick stans kept comparing More Life to DAMN
So we need to compare the first week change from More Life to CLB
Kendrick just not crazy big globally
This USA numbers fam
Globally he actually had one of the biggest days on streaming lol
That s*** dropped 5 years ago lmaoo
Adele had a drop from 2015-2021 what does that mean?
Yeah Adele should be disappointed too, she lost over a million first week in sales from 25
He doing almost half less than clb lol
And barley more offseason with 6 songs more lol
After damn, Kendrick fans were saying he was bigger than drake lol
Bro Kendrick hasn’t dropped in 6 years
The game has drastically change
Being a top 3 selling hip hop artist means you’re huge
Again he has one of the highest streaming debuts of all time

Oh word?
Didn’t know he was so popular overseas
Shout out to him
Donda songs were out on youtube because of the listening parties and the fans already heard the whole album a month before the drop
I really think if kanye dropped donda like a regular person it would've done 500-550 fw
Donda 100% would have at least cleared 450k fw if he dropped on Friday.

Yeah that’s the crazy thing about this, if anything these numbers solidified Kendrick as one of the biggest artists
Them CLB boys really been waiting on this thread since 2017. Five years in the making
To be fair there were a lot of Kendrick stans who were insistent that he would outsell Drake with their respective next albums, usually backed up by shoddy logic like using More Life vs. DAMN. sales and Drake’s downward sales trajectory from Views -> Scorpion. So it’s fair for us to pop back in and throw a little
in here
ANYWAY 350k is extraordinary for 2022 and will he is still the second-highest selling artist in the game. And this album is so f***ing incredibly good; one of my favorites of the last five years for sure.
this thread gonna be juicy again in 3 weeks when Post Malone doesn't even sell half of his last album

I agree with most of this but Kendrick is not in second place
Taylor, Adele, Harry Styles, Drake, and Post could all sell more
And in time — Bad Bunny 😈

Does anybody on here care what post malone sells though
Reminder Kanye and Drake basically drove each other's sales with fake pro wrestling beef

When people say hes 2nd place they mean rappers

Sorry I mean the rap game exclusively. Post will not sell more (and his position within “rap” is questionable)
Oh word?
Didn’t know he was so popular overseas
Shout out to him
Only Drake and Bad Bunny had bigger numbers 1st day
Does anybody on here care what post malone sells though
lmao I know i'm a dumb nerd for this but I personally do, just cause it says a lot about an artist's fanbase & shifts in what the mainstream enjoys listening to
