I will say this is the most I’ve ever seen Kendrick flub lyrics. Didn’t matter though the energy was unmatched

He 100% was drunk AF while performing

Nah there was a section in Euphoria where he switched up a line about 2Pac and it made him rap the "top dog who they playing with" part before the beat switch but he recovered fast

I'm actually really impressed with how Euphoria went, especially for a first ever live performance

It's not an easy song to remember 100%, especially with all the different voices and cadences to keep track of

    Cole won

Having the foresight to back out when he did, he definitely won.

  • Jun 20, 2024

Even if Cole didn’t apologize at that time, he would have done it after Family Matters. He definitely wasn’t going to see this beef to the end

All Drake had to do was say “Yeah I’m a bit of an outsider but I love music and the culture” and be respectful

    Career suicide tbh lol.

He put all his chips on courting the streaming kids and, as someone else put it, they're the most fickle base you can have.

which is very hilarious cuz the reaction dudes like Tyler & Dom and them got shows you can court that crowd without having to hop on trends

I already spoke on this before but they did it cuz Drake has a way of gassing up niggas to jump out the window. Cuz right after Drake's Dipset show Jim Jones started going at Push. Lol

I was just saying how a lack of us fostering our talent and showing love has led to us doing corny s*** like that

Yeah you bring up a solid point. It's really wild when you think about it

Drakes downfall was underestimating how much of the culture would support Kendrick. He played into it initially with his “me against everybody” mentality but it couldn’t have backfired more

yup, he thought the numbers game was gonna save him

You mean where he paused on quotables everybody knows so they can be rapped back at him by the crowd? I don't think he "flubbed" those

I didn't really notice him actually not know lyrics to songs

I just rewatched it and yeah he definitely f***ed up a bunch

He skipped a whole part on euphoria but played it off really well. He missed the “Let me say I’m the biggest hater” part

Third verse on Not Like Us was also f***ing him up. I think on the 4 play he said “it’s time to hop out” instead of pop

    He absolutely killed it tho

No he doesn’t it’s just trolling with big words.

There’s niggas on here like @Water_Giver @insertcoolnamehere @edumist & @Beach_kneega who I’ve had great discussions with on here about the history of rap but a lot of this site dont engage cuz they started listening to black music in 2009

Edit: my nigga @Sk8brdKee be having good talks as well

I didnt mean literally say that

But more like he was at the start of his career. He clearly just got sick of being called soft and an outsider

On one of the performances of NLU he said slave instead of chains so he said slave twice in one line which threw him off

And then the lead in lines for "went to Future when you didn't see the club" were just Kanye mumble gibberish

But mostly nitpicky stuff in a 90 minute set, especially without backing vocals to rely on
