Its to calm the crowd down before the next performance
Should've been filled up by the 1st minute considering we didnt know who would open the show
Man shut the hell up
Just texted my PAWG co worker about this she’s tuning in as we speak
i didn't know you were a fan of both i just saw your username and made an assumption that you were just trying to troll in the thread i'm sorry for that. but i'm just saying man with no disrespect saying it's all about monthly listeners is just a completely wrong way to look at it in my opinion. streams and numerics don't dictate all time classics, i bet For All The Dogs or Her Loss or whatever the f*** had a bigger first streaming week than To Pimp A Butterfly or Good Kid did but look at what the cultural and global conversation is around those records, you know????
Its all good homie
Short term i dont think numbers matter cause stuff can come and go quick
But numbers matter to me because when youre talking long-term its the only way to quantify how often music is being listened to.
Cultural impact and perception is hugely important but how do you measure that and compare it against other works effectively, ya know? Also, cultural impact doesnt always have to be about pressing world issues. Fun, boppy stuff can have cultural impact. “Summer 16” memes hugely are a thing because of the dancehall tracks Drake was putting out that summer
IMO something that doesnt sound good, isnt going to get listened to so numbers show what people are enjoying the most. High numbers over long periods of time = greatness. Fine, im glazing, but drake’s albums have been on billboard ever since i was a young teen and imo thats why hes the goat
