My only issue is that the song gets labeled as a “Tik Tok” song by that same youth, as if it hasn’t been out for 30+ years, prior to Tik Tok or Stranger Things ever existing.
i get where you're coming from, but the true legacy of the track is beyond TikTok and Stranger Things. like you said, it's been out for 30+ years(damn near 40 actually) and the song has already cemented itself in the world of music. this is just another boost for the youth, and it's fine if they see it that way. the vast majority of people who are in tune know it isn't a TikTok song, same goes for Dreams

we living in the golden age rnWhitney would be great, but I'd rather have somebody like Janet Jackson. She needs her redemption arc ASAP. Going from being one of the biggest pop stars EVER to being blacklisted in a matter of years is unfair...I didn't get exposed to her music till I was in my late teens tbh. she needs to be back in the limelight
