Hold up, let's not pretend Nas was in A1 form on that album. Adam & Eve was like the best joint on that album, along with cops shot the kid.

On some of it, he was absolutely in autopilot mode just trying be be there for Ye's Wyoming experiment. Him and Hit-Boy surprisingly had way better chemistry together. Probably because Hit-Boy took Nas's classic style and gave it a modern glow, while Kanye just kinda threw Nas over his 2018 style production without any of the attributes that made Nas great.
