You like Kanye West? His early work was a little too R&B for my taste. But when My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy came out in '10, I think he really came into his own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Jay-Z, but I think Kanye has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. In '18, Kanye released this; Ye - his most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "I Thought About Killing You". A song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the demons of conformity and the importance of being true to yourself. It's also a personal statement about the Kanye himself.
