water's a pretty song but smh this record's so half baked, praying for this man

Yeah but the album is mastered so that everything is cranked up to 10 (Kanye wanted it to be louder than Jay’s album) and so while that’s nice for bad speakers, on a good pair of headphones or quality car speakers everything sounds compressed and distorted. It’s really noticeable if you switch to an album like 2001 where everything sounds crisp.

It’s still a masterpiece, but the mastering is the only flaw. I have it on vinyl and unfortunately it’s even worse on the physical copy. Dark Fantasy is basically unlistenable on it because of the distortion.

Noise cancelling, transparency mode (noise cancelling but allows in certain sounds such as if someone is talking to you), better sound quality than the AirPods (which I used everyday before selling them for these). I need them

On Gorgeous especially there’s so much detail in the instrumentation that’s begging to be brought out with proper mastering, because it doesn’t sound clean and kinda gets blended together.

I’m not going to hold my breath but it would be awesome if we got a 10th anniversary remastered edition next year.
