When it first dropped there was a lot of people not feeling it as well even assuming Drake was throwing shots at him during this time

I was on board after yeezus still. I think Cudi had a big part in him staying focused and making sure the album was complete

He definitely did. But Kanye also brought the MOTM-era Cudi back, and got him rapping with that smooth Cudder flow
