It's not a bad thing either way. Imagine saying that in order to be loyal to God you have to give up the confidence you have in yourself. Like I know there's probably something in Christianity that tells you to do that but I never in a million years expected people would, especially in 2019, tell someone to abandon their confidence and self love to fully devote themselves to a being that those people judging probably don't even believe in.
