i enjoy this album. i don't think the hate is warranted honestly.

personally, i think the hates just stems because its christian and thats not the version of kanye people wanted.

it was a cohesive album, staying on topic, with great production and good rapping skills for a 42 year old kanye west.

i'd definitely still like an album with songs like 80degrees and things of that sound but this album i do like.

granted, i have only listened to it about 5 times in its entirety but i think it is catching a lot of hate for being "bad" when i think people are just hating it subconsciously, or even consciously, because it is christian or because they have an idealized version of what they themselves want from him and that's not what they got.

everyone s*** on "ye" when it dropped and now that we are removed from it, it was a good album. not his best, but he had an idea and he completed it.

kanye is continuing to assemble a great discography and i don't think his last two albums have been a detriment to his legacy or warrant saying he "fell off"

Off topic but whackworld by tierra whack is what i would call an album what really needed to have 30-60 seconds more on every song to really work well. I get the concept and everything but it just doesn’t work well. Jesus is King has the perfect length.

Water is just absolutely beautiful with the choir and waves in the background. I used to hate the verse but my gf who used to go to a Christian school said she kinda sees it as a prayer and that s*** made me see it in a new light. Still not a fan of it but at least I don't hate it anymore

Does anyone even listen to mbdtf like that? Probably my least listened kanye album. Songs are way too long and monotone. Only listen to POWER and lost in the world nowadays.
