If by religion you mean Jesus and his Father, then I think that’s his point. ‘Jesus is King’ wasn’t just a title that he thought sounded good or would provide a good soundbite.. This type of album is lowkey expected from the a recent convert.. it isn’t just some ultra light beam or jesus walks, which is secular in nature and still have latent ‘christian influences’ like Kendrick or Chance.. This album is totally devoted to the glory and edification of Kanye’s ‘savior’ and Allah the Father. I think fans and casuals had preconceived notions of what they thought Kanye would do with a christian album and are letdown that this is a true blue ‘bible thumper’ ..almost like a natural aversion. lol it’s interesting to see
