ksg has kanye’s genius and cudis unapologetic opinion
they done it before so they did it again
I have no clue why I typed that. I meant 2004. Honestly though I might as well have said late 90s because he was hungry and passionate even when he was just making beats.
That old interview were he was talking about showing Hov his beats. He was so enthusiastic
source? ye produced every song except reborn
I thought Cudi made the Cudi Montage and Reborn beats and showed them to Kanye and that when Kanye said they making an album together

yea
remember the cudi and kanye in tokyo making an album news
Nah I don't mind shorter tracks at all honestly, but the shortness has to actually contribute to the track, IMO. Like there's punk songs that are super short and super high energy, so that length is plenty. I could've vibed with this for another verse or 2.
Yeah Punk is one of the genres where the shortness is almost part of it, but I feel like we could be getting back into an era where every genre is focusing on shorter tracks in the mainstream, almost like the 60s, younger artists are already there.
It will annoy some people. I think it's impressive when things are that concise tho. It feels like with a song as epic as some on here like Selah or Use This Gospel, making them longer would be the easier option. But I also agree I'd always be up for another verse
Kids See Ghosts should be universally regarded as greatness
I thought Cudi made the Cudi Montage and Reborn beats and showed them to Kanye and that when Kanye said they making an album together
saw it, true
kids see ghosts beat is a classic
ye snapped on this album
one of the best albums of all time?
100%. The greatest IMO, but I can understand if people disagree with that. But I believe it's universally accepted that NWTS is in the top 10 OAT.
Kanye's evolving as an artist, you shouldn't expect an artist to make the same type of music for the entirety of his career. Rn you're sounding like the disappointed fans back in 08. If you don't like it that's cool, you don't have to, but if you're expecting him to keep making mbdtf/yeezus than I got bad news for you. Just because it's 27 minutes long it doesn’t mean Kanye doesn't care anymore
Man that’s not the issue. I don’t understand why people keep making this excuse as if people are criticizing it because the music is “out there” or different than expectations. That was the case with 808s and Yeezus. Not here. The songs sound blatantly unfinished, unpolished, and lazy. This had the potential to be a 8 or even 9/10 album if he actually extended the songs, maybe gave a bit more layers to some of the instrumentals (especially the parts that could’ve used hard hitting drums like on Use this Gospel), and fixed just some of the lyrics that stand out as poor.
But unlike even the recent Pablo era he’s just not the dedicated perfectionist he once was where he would make sure to clean the songs up until he and his fans were satisfied.
I guess Cudi showed Ye tons of stuff and most of it was mid I would suppose. I'm sure it needed Ye's guidance for it to be this good because Cudi has been in a weird stage of his career for some time
i personally like ksg more than mbdtf it is my favorite kany ealbum
Jesus Is King gets better every day. That second half of Closed On Sunday, the production on Hands On, Kenny G on Use This Gospel, even the Water verse is growing on me a ton. GOAT ALBUM
source? ye produced every song except reborn
Lmfao this couldn't be further from the truth. He has like 3 production credits. Plain Pat, Dot, Cudi and Evan from Ratatat carried the production on that album.

I thought that too but some ppl not feeling it
I can still feel the love
