Almost every album had a concept or theme around the music. I wonder where he goes next.
It's interesting JIK kinda feels like a conclusion of TLOP era. Where TLOP was half profanity on purpose this seems like Ye fully embraced his faith.
The album ye is a difficult one since it mostly deals with his mental health, but KSG kinda connects those themes of religion and mental health, which is dope. So i feel TLOP - ye/KSG - JIK is one era kinda in a wayNext albums he's maybe actually going to deepdive into politics instead of this surface level Trump d***riding + the prison reform? If he still has that political ambition

It's because Drake never stopped giving people what they want from him - lots of great songs. Just cos he hasn't made a project as good as NWTS, SFG, IYRTITL, WATTBA in a while, he's still making lots of music people love. And albums worth of it too, he just makes very long projects so there's some weighty filler attached.
He's a different type of artist. People want album experiences from Kanye, and nobody irl thought Kanye had fallen off until 2018 - the first year his albums had stopped being amazing bodies of work. And people like to say Kanye's fallen off but people still care about his releases, which means that in reality he hasn't in the traditional sense, even if there's a dip in quality.
When Drake stops making hits or lots of good songs people will feel the same about him too for a while, then they'll both just be celebrated as legends eventually.
