Damn 'reddit boy', what a burn bro. You really had one
Ryder Ripps just gave Kanye a really sweet congratulations post on his IG giving him props on the album even tho he isnt a Christian and is against the church.

Sidenote Pusha T liked the post
I'm not too big in gospel music for one and Kanye's take on it minus a couple of songs I genuinely f*** with, I just don't have much of an opinion on yet. Like they're no bad songs, but listening to it all the way through a few times I don't feel like I got much out of it.
This is the most focused Kanye sounded on a solo project since Yeezus tho, it's not haphazard like TLOP or just...idk what Ye is lmao. Production is great as usual and Ye vocal performance is good throughout, some of his best singing and flows ever on here, especially since post Yeezus Kanye.
Overall I like it a lot more than I thought I would but ehhhhh lol.
Your not wrong, I think the difference is I love the gospel elements so there’s not much to dislike on here for me.
A lot of the references to the bible and Christianity is really dope, it doesn’t come across preachy and lines like “ I've been tellin' y'all since '05, The greatest artist restin' or alive” remind me he’s still Ye.
Hopefully it grows on you later on 💕
nico ig story- are they shooting music videos or is just the art exhibit?
das what i was thinking. It looks like the set pieces they used at the forum
That I understand, hopefully he goes back and picks up the ideas from his two first projects and redefines it. I'm good with Assume Form for time being tho, enjoy how intimate and personal it feels.
I'd be here for him expanding on If the Car Besides You. That could be interesting

Yeah bro, you really went deep in the bag for that one

it is nice to hear him with that yeezus-level of focus for his direction, after TLOP I didn't think we'd get that from him again.
