tripperI mean from a pop/radio perspective? Everybody f***ed with it. Flashing Lights is the sound of late 00's I won't deny that but others (like myself) were mid on the fact Ye stopped chopping up the soul in laymen's terms

It really puts into perspective for me how stupid it is constantly arguing with people over this album and stuff in general as if it’s life and death, and taking everything too much to heart.
If you’re going to take anything away from this album and Kanye’s attitude in general lately, keep your loved ones close guys and never forget to let them know what they mean to you.

Yeah regular music listeners but I distinctly remember Grad and 808s being the end of Ye in alot of ways.
Hip Hop artist saw him as too pop and 808s was too out there for the mainstream even with three top 10s it did half what Grad did first week.
Kanye really has always been a constang up and down so much so some of his albums that seemed huge were hated by some and love by others.

I maintain 808s being the era Kanye music was its most hated. Even Ye got more love on year end list then 808s did when it dropped.
Kanye career was more hurt by 808s then Taylor Swift. He lost momentuem he never got back.
