This might seem like a weird take but I feel like some of the instant hate on Twitter comes from a fundamental misunderstanding of what makes Coloring Book and Big Day so awful. People are just jumping to hate because they think it’s cool to do so, in addition to Oanye being such a lightning rod as it is people assumed that because it’s religious and stresses the topic that it’s as bad as Chance the tobacco plant. Even if this album isn’t all that (I haven’t fully made up my mind on it), it’s possible to make compelling art out of positivity or religion or anything really, Chance just isn’t capable of doing it

It's a nice compilation album and has some of Ye's best work. But at the end of the day it's still a compilation album that has more misses than any of his album releases.
