Anyone got some first week sales predictions?
What numbers did Ye do? I think it will be close
I think i'd prefer optimistic praise than dissenting negativity that drives to put others down but idk might've been listening to too much JIK it's making me wanna be a better person
ANTI what did you think of the album, didn't see you earlier in the thread
God Is and Hands on 10/10. I like Closed on Sunday a lot, Selah is cool but it's gonna take some time to get used to cuz I got so used to the original leak. Rest of the album idk, not really a fan but I think a better mix could change that. Use This Gospel is an abomination.
Amazing film from start to finish.
That first scene is hilarious yet daunting.
all I kno it’s made by the goat Kubrick
Y'all realize that every mix is a different artistic decision right...? Like all mixes aren't supposed to sound crystal clear radio quality right? I feel like some of you think everything is supposed to sound the same and held to the same standard of good mixing lol
ye theres loads of artists that make a more 'low fidelity' sound and are dope as f*** with it
anyone from sLUms, tyler, etc
nothing wrong on that end here, vinyl effect is dope, it's the fact the audio clips over itself a lot - that doesnt belong to any particular aesthetic, thats just smth that happens by accident
What I don't understand is how fans non-ironically praise 'dick than a swallower' on New Slaves but say the Chik Fil A bar here is corny. Ye's always had a howler or two of a line on every record. This isn't new and to say it's a sign of 'decline' is straight-up revisionist.
Yeah some of the criticisms don't make sense to me.
I'm seeing people bash the lyrics but his writing on here was focused as hell.
He even avoided his s***lines and general need for humor that even his great projects all have.
It's odd I saw people complain for years he wasn't being mature anymore how they missed Jesus Walks Kanye and hated I Love It.
But those same folks are hating alot of records on here that are straight up "Old Ye" style
This more or less a return to that form but people seem bothered still.
