Genuinely makes me happy to see people coming around to it. I def get why some people may be averse to it...but for a religious rap album it could’ve been A LOT WORSE
yeah i think that either, anyways it couldve been a bit longer
Ok I like some of the JIK songs. But what the f*** does Jesus know about laundry

Facts, wish LA monster didn’t get cut
I liked this a lot more on second listen, lol. Still sloppy in a lot of places but it ain't awful. Fix the mixing and put the full Jesus Is Lord on here and we've got a solid 7.5-8

Lol I like how this is slowly becoming the consensus
Meanwhile Ye still sucks no matter how much u listen to it...
Yeah I mean I can get where you're coming from, you make good points and there's definitely still a slight rock bias. Over the last few years though it's been mostly offset because hip hop tends to chart really highly. b15/b of the top 25 rated albums of the decade are hip hop releases and 3 belong to Kanye. So I don't feel like the JIK rating is because the population is being unfair. All the complaints are legitimate to me. The lyrics are very weak, the mixing is unbelievably bad, and for whatever reason the songs are cut too short before they fully develop.
i mean yeah, i definitely see where you're coming from, but it's something to have in mind, that rock bias + even more bias because he's seen as a member of the trap new wave with the crazy experimentation and bringing in new artists + EVEN MORE because it's the controversial figure of ye that old white people just won't get. and about the decade thing, the 10s for hiphop i would say it's the 60s for rock because there's been a blossoming in sound and testing new s*** and all the zeitgeist stuff, so it's actually very natural. if you go on the overall charts though, i believe its only 11 overall hip hop albums over a 100 which is CRAZY for a genre seen as rock's counterpoint, but eh in a few years i believe it'll be fully leveled, we just need to fight for that future.
cause the mf swearing like crazy
Yeah he could've left it and prayed for him after the verse! Would've been kinda fire tbh
This is one of my favorite Pierre beats!
