This isn’t preachy really
He ain’t tell anybody to believe in God. He’s just confirming his love belief and love in God

The one with clipse got an annoying ass beat lowkey
That (Train is coming sound) makes my ears bleed.
song ranking:
1. God Is
2. Glory (ft. Victory Boyd) - not on the album but it fits perfectly
3. Hands On
4. Follow God
5. On God
6. Jesus Is Lord (full version from the movie)
7. Water
8. Closed On Sunday
9. Every Hour
10. Selah
11. Use This Gospel
12. Everything We Need
Might have to go watch the movie now if it means a full version of Jesus is lord
Tbh, Kanye has given me so much great music and impacted my life as a fan so positively that I just want him to be happy. Actually happy, not some short term manic high that wears off in a few weeks. If rediscovering Christ puts him in a healthy place, that's a good thing, even if the music is subpar for a while.

I really don't find this album to be that preachy or sanctimonious. That would require Kanye to have written more than a handful of lines per track. No, it just sounds like he needed to get some words down and this is what he came up with. Frankly, I think it's too soon into his new salvation (his pastor claims it has only been a few months) to really dig into what his newfound experience of Christianity means to him. When Christian lyrics are good, they speak frankly and reflectively about the experience of faith in relatable terms. Right now, Kanye is on fire for the Lord and just saying what he feels he's supposed to say while rushing out an album.
Most newly born again Christians have nothing useful to say about their faith because they haven't had time to test it out or reflect on it. Maybe the next album will have stronger content.
