That was before he had 4 kids, a wife, and multiple business ventures. Gotta accept Kanye’s main priority isn’t music anymore, and just enjoy the music for what it is. This album is very solid if you’re not expecting a MBDTF-level album

listened to no leaks but i did see JIK last night. only listened to the album once:

first opinions: dope production, flow, delivery all more polished/finished/thought up more like ksg than ye in that way

but lyrical content being so consitently positive about on one subject kinda neuters it

he could have included some heavy hitting s*** just about his mindstate and s*** he was feeling/did before being saved while keeping it no swearing

cuz we kinda dont get many if any kanye-isms like funny lines, hype bragging, agressive s*** that thats like ouuuu he just said that, or damn kanye right in the feels.
guess what i mean is his personality doesnt come thru as much in the lyrics which is a huge strength of kanye (kinda get it with the spazzing at his dad thing tho)

ill need a few more listens to say how good the music sounds tho thatll be the deciding factor i think for me.

recently his lyricism has suffered from being too silly/stupid/cringy at times or just bars that are not really saying anything, or just no clear subject in a song just a bunch of random bars. but i was cool with that just focused in on those classic ye lines that are peppered around

here its mostly free of those flaws but we dont get classic ye lines for the most part. so its kinda just a wash. his voice, flow and delivery sound pretty good for the most part tho
