And on Hands On Ye actually sounds clear. It's amazing too.
That's how clear the first couple tracks need to sound too.
Jesus is lord gave me blue balls, wish it was a song
it is a full song i’m not sure what the f*** happened between the imax credits and the album
Listening when I get home. Can anyone confirm, is the album very gospel or is it still rap? Like how far of a departure from Kanye’s previous work is this?
Its rap
I want my goddamned James Blake and Kid Cudi feature WTF is Kanye on
With this album kanye broke the Cudi on Track 2 tradition
my complaints:
-trash mix on every song
-up from the ashes isn’t the intro
-water verse exists
-use this gospel exists
-jesus is lord is extremely short?
-the storm is ruined
-selah some suck
Which song is The storm
Ultralight Beam is a great example of how he could've done this without just sounding preachy as f*** for 27 minutes
His parts on ULB aren't really that big a part of the song tho.. That track comes off the way it does cos of Chance, Kirk, Kelly and whoever was writing the choir parts. His vocals on this album are much better on this album than that, there's just more of them. If it had been an album of ULB's he would have come up every now and again to repeat something the choir was singing or read hashtags like 'pray for paris'..
ULB is still one of his best songs, but his parts on it aren't that lengthy or special so it would have been hard to do that for a whole album and have it be a Kanye album. I think this album is good tho so I'm way off what seems to be most people's reactions
I can respect it because it certainly isn't boring or bland, (Scorpion), but I never expect that from Kanye anyway. His music always a different energy
cmon fam.
you really gon say
the album is trash when more than half the album is great
are the songs below really that trash to you?
Every Hour
On God
Water
God Is
Hands On
Jesus is Lord
weren't you guys calling selah one of his best songs ever?
did it really change that much?
