I think when it comes to history Holocaust is one of the protected things. Rightfully so. Someone can say openly they don't believe in slavery. They can focus on Africans selling their own. They can focus on how normal it was. They can say Irish were slaves too. They can openly say the n word. People make jokes about Hiroshima many parts all throughout history or question the impact. We have seen millions of Muslims die since America invaded
Should the offense or inciting of hatred be universal? Can it be universal?
I think of what MIA mentions with the Tamil deaths. I think of how so many Muslims were classified as bug splats or militant combatants. Ye is entirely off and idiot going into Nazi category. I do think his point even if he lands absolutely terribly is in terms of who controls what is traumatic? Who controls what we can question and how do we move on from past tragedies (this also applies to slavery seems like a choice or some thinking black history focuses too much on slavery)

Like I am not defending Ye in anyway but its a lil reductive to say he did this "because he can" or " mental episode" entirely . Its not defending his actions in anyway because what he did is wrong. To simply say "he did this because he can" "mental episode" "presidential campaign" is honestly defending him more than me saying he is 100% accountable for what he is saying at this point and is trolling those he believes are in control
