It’s just annoying cause he really didn’t need to make another album at all lol Donda 1 was more than enough. Dude was obviously egged on cause of the Pete/Kim situation and had people enabling him to create a “toxic” album filled with club bangers and s*** lol it’s sad cause it had lots of potential but you could tell at the LP party that something was off
Like I already said it's just another situation like in 2018
He dropped Ye, saw that people wasn't really fine with his album and he decided to make Yandhi filled with club bangers. Never forget that I Love It was the lead single

That’s the bizarre thing here though, people were really happy with Donda
Legit though there was absolutely no reason for Donda 2 at all, especially this soon after Donda

Not really surprising since he said in the past he was only happy with Yeezus when it came out
He probably is never fully happy with his albums even when they're officially out

There is no way to know for sure, but I feel with Donda he was more focused on making sure fans were happy with it rather than him being fulfilled with the album (especially after JIK reception, an album he made for himself) and he accomplished that
But also from Drink Champs you could tell he was happy with it the way he talked about it

I legit think he has some sort of depressions after every album release
He immediately worked on Yeezus 2/SHMG when Yeezus came out, he immediately worked on TurboGrafx 16 after he released TLOP, Yandhi after Ye and JIK2 (w/ Dre and tracks like Glory) after he released JIK

Perhaps it’s similar to depression some mothers have after giving birth?

makes sense to me tbh, considering all the work and motivation that goes into big projects, theres always an emptiness after the completion of something as big as the albums hes working on
Perhaps it’s similar to depression some mothers have after giving birth?
postalbum depression
postalbum depression
Imagine the energy and adrenaline artists get the day of an album release
I find it so funny how Durk said in an interview few weeks ago that ye told him that they should do a collab album and he said we’re gonna do it the next time we’re in the studio

Just imagine all the energy and adrenaline Ye had with all those listening parties for Donda last year
silver lining it's mainly white boys that got scammed with the stem player so I'm not even mad at Ye.

Completely not happening but two Chicago legends from different eras doing a collab like that would be cool
