Why have both songs with Nigo been not so great? First the Cudi one now this, not saying Pusha’s is near as bad as Cudi’s but what gives

    the Rocky one was good

    RESIGNED

I agree something changing around this era seems to be the consensus and not for no reason imo

Gonna have to check this out later i dont have headphones on me rn but thanks fam. I feel 2014-16 is such an undisclosed period of his career for the most part (strange considering how many kids hopped on for TLOP)

I still think SHMG wouldve been his peak aesthetic but alas we can only dream lol

SHMG would have been donda aesthetic but way more raw and less commercial

think this was when he just discovered demna and was tryna get him everywhere

imagine pre balenciaga demna working with ye everyday on creative direction 🤒🤒

    would be insane.

idk what happened, and i don’t think act 3 of been yuhs will really explain it. idk if we will ever truly understand. but i think he went to a dark place during this time and ultimately came out “the new kanye”

i really can’t put my finger on it, maybe the new doc will help? but idk it feels like it’s way darker than 808s - MBDTF time period.

it feels like the birth of their first child deeply impacted him, probably brought back emotions of his mother, inspired him to work 100x harder than he already has( a fear many of the most talented black artist feel that drive them crazy. a fear that they will go broke again), and he got lost in all of those emotions as he became more secluded in fame/notoriety/etc

when coodie and chike talk about how in 2014 it felt like ye was just reaching out looking for answers.. my heart sunk.

i think back to tweets where he admits being the sunken place guy. i honestly think he started to realize pretty early he got himself into something much deeper than he anticipated, when he had a child.
