Kendrick hasn't tried anything new though. He's a fantastic artist with fantastic albums, but nothing about those albums, but his last unique album in the landscape of mainstream music was TPAB... That was 7 years ago

WestKanyeI thought it was more that he made MBDTF to get back, made it perfect. Then Yeezus he was already at the top but pissed about the fashion industry so he made pretty much the opposite not because he couldn’t do another MBDTF but because he wasn’t trying to please people, he just wanted to make what he wanted.

Kendrick is not an innovator lets be honest. He’s an extremely talented rapper with a great ear for production but he has never truly pushed boundaries like Ye. I’m saying this with him as like my 3rd favorite artist of this era
