This album definitely has a lot of potential maybe even more than the first donda I really can't wait to see where he takes it
Will be interesting to see how he listens to feedback to adapt to form the best possible project. Hope he doesn't let the anger of the s***ty sound get to him and keeps moving as it already appears he is
TRUE LOVE SHOULDNT BE THIS COMPLICATED
I THOUGHT I WOULD DIE IN YOUR ARMS
connects with me because when I realized it was XXX regardless of whether he is singing it to past ex he abused, his mom or another lover we dont know it hurts. It makes me think of Ye dying in Kims arms. Because eventually unfortunately even Ye will die. So the verse he spits feels like If I am on green text I am at least going to get this off. If they gonna say that I am saying Pete has AIDs, that I am meeting with Putin, that I am OJ I want these to be the final words you hear.
Some of this album sounds like Ye spitting for his life in front of a firing squad. Him walking through the army looking guys and rapping to them is nearly like him rapping to all those who want him dead. Who no longer want to hear a single word he says for the rest of their life because they have associated him with so many things.
Which again connects to I feel free like a homeless person. CHICAGO is a theme. He wanted to come home. He wanted her to leave the tv show. Much of this album is aimed at being consumed by fame. His mom died because she altered her body to fit in with fame. He cant stand fame yet his loved one is owned by instagram, wifi, E the list goes on. They give her things that he never can. Which is part of why he has been hyper posting
He is speaking to her brain in the only language he thinks it knows attention. Fame. Viral post. CONTENT CONTENT CONTENT. I doubt Ye was thrilled about the robbery being made into an episode of television with commercials intercut. I couldn't see Jeen Yuhs shown on any network with commercials. He is someone who likes to be able to get his message out on his terms. Yes he will sell the f*** out of Yeezy, Gap, Balenci Balenci but he wants to sell things he owns or created and less louie or things not owned by us not made for us
LOOPS BACK TO DONDA SPORTS. Anything Ye gets in he wants to create his own lane to him thats the point of being a billionaire creating the same way he created kids out of love with kim. A love he wants to believe is immortal even if there are disagreements. So when he sees her with pete so fast he hopes its just a fling but part of him fears she loves pete in ways that she will never love him. That she is creating memories with pete and erasing him or overwriting.
Much of this album is like that a man who doesnt want to be overwrited, erased or forgotten by the only person he feels can truly cancel him the only person he cares if she cancels him
his wife
Fire. I love talking about this s*** with everyone here
One of my biggest takeaways from the album felt like it was a literal snapshot of the grieving process. DONDA 1 focused on his spiritual growth while DONDA 2 is the personal growth / battle that he’s going through after losing his family and one of his best friends. Each song felt like a f***ing rollercoaster of emotions from rapping his ass about scanning his kids like a barcode, singing through the vacoder asking if he’s still on her mind, to being late up at night in the club kicking it in his Balenciagie. S*** is quite literally all over the place but only because that’s how the grieving process feels.
yeah, all stems should be lowered in volume before exporting. someone shoot me the stems and i'll do this right
