Except it is ideological. These leaders I named were all ideological, whether it's black nationalism, democratic socialism or communism. They were ideological.

Black liberation necessitates a complete overthrow of the current political system, I am for working within the system until there is enough momentum, but in the end it'll have to go further than that.

I’m not disagreeing with you my guy. There are two political parties that make up this country. That’s just fact. Yes, there are certain ideologies you can pinpoint within both parties.

However, the only point I’m making is black advancement is not one of those ideologies for either party. Can you pick at certain ideologies within them to say we need this to advance,Yea sure. In my opinion, there will be a mix of ideologies that will actually lead to our advancement. The main point was the speech was a little too general and focused entirely on black advancement for me to align it with a political party or a particular ideology. So seeing people instantly trying to do so was annoying.

And they're just gonna ruin the gunna song with s***ty drums

I’m gonna quote this when the album drops. I seriously get the feeling Donda was a warm up/experiment and this is going to surpass it

What it shouldn’t be isn’t the same as it not being an issue. Black equality is a political issue because rich Europeans constructed a power structure where they would benefit from the exploitation and subordination of black people

Saying that black equality isn’t a political issue distracts from the very fact that it is, and solving the issue of black equality requires recognizing this as the first step

Think it’s more of an economic issue, once we have economic equality then we can do politics

This post and the amount of likes it got is kinda sad.

All the black leaders throughout history that we venerate understood that black liberation is absolutely political. The black panther party was literally a political party, MLK was political, Malcolm was political, Mandela was literally a politician etc etc.

Unfortunately in the American consciousness (and elsewhere too for that matter, in their own way) politics means nothing more than whether you vote red or blue every couple of years. That's something that has to change if we actually wanna see progress.

MLKs last speech was about how politics ain’t it and we need an economic revolution

I hope Ye drops a single a week before. I love the full album drop with no singles, but if he dropped a hard af single before, the hype will be unreal (outside of KTT and the hardcore music sphere). I need my friends on the Donda 2 wave
