I don’t think Kanye’s perspective has changed much at its core, and it’s been there throughout his career, but the way he communicated it in that video is well done which I’m happy to see. He didn’t conflate his point with forcing himself to be a contrarian and therefore antagonizing. He just said the point imo. The point has always been valid and pretty unassailable. The point is to control your own narrative, develop power, economic, and social structures within your own community, and leverage that to demand the future you want to see.
