im guessing they either sampled and re did the drums (drums sound mad dated from then) or have them
we will see
I definitely think they just added drums and did the best they could with the mix. It’s kind of a common process with beat tape producers from that era, anything produced by J Dilla is straight from the beat tape, he wouldn’t send people stems

No More Parties In LA for example was definitely just straight from a Madlib tape, Madlib didn’t send stems so they just had to make it work
It’s not like that mix sucks
