    Yeah believe it or not the more "commercial" people felt ye music was the more pushback he got in the city. In 05 on the hills or CD and the whole bush ordeal people were bumping ye wherever you went. By the time stronger dropped you had a lot of people who felt ye "changed". For me personally though graduation era is the greatest era of my life, so you definitely still had a bunch of people fully on the bandwagon at that time.

    yeah and even the style of the album is less conscious and more pop rap

    I still think its a masterpiece in its own right but that response makes sense

    one last thing I gotta ask, how did the city react to 808s?
