Just got back from the theater. This is a must watch for any ye fan or hater. Crushing and surreal watching him decay over the course of the runtime. I don’t want to spoil anything because there’s a lot in here that’s brand new, but my biggest takeaway is the insane dichotomy between his most pure-hearted moments and the depths of his manic explosions on his family and friends. Dude was dead set on destroying his life while simultaneously creating whatever he wanted to every step of the way, all in the name of unfettered authenticity to himself and answering to absolutely nobody.

Fully agree. Portrait of the Artist as a Dying Man. This is a better Frankenstein than Del Toro will put out in two weeks. Insane they got this past his lawyers.

This was good. Theater was way more packed than I thought it was gonna be. Loved how honest it was and didn’t tell you how to feel about Kanye. Just gave you the facts and told you to form your own opinion. Was cool to see a bunch of behind the scenes stuff from most of the big moments of the last 6 years

The fact that most people seeing this doc will not know what the f*** is going on in that part of the doc has me dying

Ngl I shed a lil tear when they renewed their vows or whatever was going on there.

You could really see that the early innings of JIK with Ye just doing the church and family thing gave Kim a lot of hope for the future. Really sad watching her try to hang on to a ghost.

Told my friend this the other day it would’ve worked much better as a 100gigs style of release

basically what i wanted. i get his whole point of making it this way and i still enjoyed it. but if he wanted the most impact just dump the video files somewhere and let people decide on what to make of the clips.

Somehow this is 10x more depressing than episode 3 of Jeen-Yuhs
