ANTIi just think it's a weak song, it feels shackled and bogged down by the subject matter and doesn't feel nearly as dynamic as a lot of graduation does. i think the fact that it's the closer of grad is the biggest issue for me, listening to the song isolated it's pretty alright but ending the album with that is super flat imo and thinking about it now, might be the reason why i rank graduation so low in his discog.
dynamic in which way? I think lyrically to that point in his career and tbh for nearly a decade more it was one of the most introspective and vulnerable moments in his career, its easy to rap or sing about lost love in some ways but that kind of glowing admiration and jealousy is something we never really see or have seen expressed in rap
Its a special song to me, the beats great too imo
