there is literally nothing he could do to make this a top 3 ye album
not even a knock on DONDA, but that top 3~5 territory is home to albums that stack up against generational, undeniable classics. we prolly won't be comparing this album to thriller. i'd love to be proven wrong tho

I mean there is a difference between the best Ye albums and your own personal favorites. For example, CD is like my 6th favorite Ye album but if i'd make a more general list, it has to be in the top 4 at least.
I don't know about Donda yet but i could see it making my top 5 if they improved it in the right places- Jul 30, 2021
