I think what is interesting about it, recontexualizing it with saxophone melodies. Someday a jazz label is going to copy this and use their premier sax recording artist.

Yeah, I agree that autotune amplifies emotions when used decently. Besides, I generally like Kanye singing. It occurs to me that imperfect singing has a similar effect. Sure, a perfectly sung song with deep lyrics is nice, but when it's sung by someone who doesn't have a perfect voice ... that's when it gets me.

I love how they kind of distort and autotune the sax at points to sound like how Kanye’s vocals were treated mix wise

If Def Jam was smart, they would've licensed this 1 project, you bundle it as a deluxe with 808 and sell this as a bonus.
But no one did, I doubt even if Def Jam knew about it. Maybe for the 15th or 20th anniversary?
