The sad truth (coming from a place of love)

Guys, it’s really hard to admit it I know because we all love logic so much. His music used to inspire us and play in our cars while we lived our lives. In 2015, if you said that your favorite rapper was logic people would respect that opinion because a lot of people held him in the same regard as a lyricist on the level of Kendrick Lamar or a J. Cole. But now all of his lyrics I feel like they’ve been used before and feel completely uninspired. After listening to get up and intro, it is safe to say that logic has fallen off. I think a lot of it has to do with him surrounding himself with Yes men and just not putting the same amount of love into his music. Every single one of his songs these days sound the same. “Fuck the game, I’m gonna chill over here and do my thing, I have a child, and once again f*** the rap game.” I would not be upset at this mentality at all if he was actually making good music and putting forth the effort that he used to, but given the lack luster tracks we’ve been getting, I’m becoming less and less interested when he releases due to the receptive nature of his subject matter and the seemingly cliche bars. it’s just sad to me. In the year 2021 if you tell someone that you’re a big logic fan, they will laugh at you yet not long ago logic was a well respected rapper. I’m not saying that he has to look like her act like every other rapper in the game. Logic has always benefitted from standing out. I just don’t think that his music is coming from a place of deep meaning and care. It seems like he’s just picking beats that he likes and writing over them about stuff that she’s already talked about a bazillion times. I’d love to hear all of your thoughts. I’m sorry for the long post but I’m just sort of frustrated because I was such a big logic fan and I’m completely disappointed with the direction his music is going in right now.

Nobody in the stadium (including me) knew JAY Z had a verse on the last song. Kanye ended the last song and stood there in the middle of the stadium, literally just looked at the crowd. He was expecting everybody to go crazy because of the JAY Z verse and The Throne comeback basically but NOBODY heard the JAY Z feature. I thought it was 2Chainz when I heard it in the stadium, the acoustics were f***ing AWFUL. Kanye literally walked and said “fuck it i’m ending this s***” and just f***ed off.
