Jay is obviously the vastly superior rapper, but Kanye is so brash he is able to win over easily impressionable young minds and the critics who have to appeal to those young minds to put food on the table. If anything, Jay is underrated because of this. He's out of fashion, a pre-zoomer talent that zoomers can have no love for, the generational need to reject what has come before for the excitement of the present moment.

Ye is a great producer but a bit of a flash in the pan.
