Even though I'm very firmly a non-believer, I don't mind some religious music. Aretha Franklin for example made some bangin' worship tunes. I'm even a fan of "Jesus Walks" off of Kanye's first record.

But I sure as hell won't listen to a f***ing billionaire preaching to me about miracles. F*** you. I'm not f***ing having it. This is so depraved and disingenuous. I'd rather put on The College Dropout or MBDTF again. F*** this.

some thoughts after a first few listens

• the reactions here on thursday night were so over the top lmao

• even in its current flawed, broken, glitchey form, this is already easily better than ye & jesus is king, more compelling listen all around

• this has all the potential to be his best album since yeezus, especially when you take into the account that highlights like ''life of the party'', which features some of his best rapping in a while, weren't even included here

• ''i'm losing my family'' & ''hurricane'' back to back is one of the most bizarre and bonkers ye moments ever. ramped up autotune works and he needs to keep it

• i hope he doesn't add any drums because they most likely wouldn't work and would cheapen the album

• ''shoulder to lean on'' is a huge radio record and is going to be ye's biggest hit in years if it makes the final cut

• he needs to perfect this, add ''life of the party'' and tyler song and drop it in august. he still has ''it'' musically'', no doubt about it lol
