this is legit a hard question fr how many women are actually singer-songwriters and not just singers? and then you factor in live performance ability/showmanship…its tough. for the modern era, the only reason i would say beyonce is because of her vocal ability an her showmanship…she cant write! i feel like there are multiple acts to consider for artists who came up in the 20th century like kate busch, chaka khan, whitney ect…but even still it’s difficult to pick 1 artist to crown supreme
