You could literally combine the best songs from his last 3 solo projects into one record and none of them would sound the least bit out of place. For better or for worse, the last album he dropped where it truly felt like you were listening to something you hadn’t quite heard before or at least, heard him do before was Yeezus. Everything after that has been relatively within the same vein or universe. Which is some what understandable because music clearly isn’t a priority for him anymore and the music for the most part shows that. He’s essentially been on auto-pilot musically. This is not to say the music has been bad but it certainly doesn’t reach any of the heights of the projects pre-Yeezus
