AIDYEDDYyeah, if what we heard tonight deserves any sort of discography comparisons, it would definitely be jesus is king and the life of pablo. mainly for the lazy songwriting (jik) and the wide variety of different sounds (tlop). people only bring up yeezus because a lot of people didn't like that album at first, and they're hoping it's the same case here, but i really don't think it is
Yea I agree this is definitely not a Yeezus situation although I do think Ye definitely could’ve used Rick Rubin for last minute excess cutting damage control. I imagine it would’ve been a similar reaction if Ye premiered a 3 hour uncut Yeezus

I think he let young voices shine on purpose, don't imagine the album will have any new vocals just be cleaned up and mixedsongs you play forever that are classic/timeless need stuff like repeating chorus, drums, sound finished etc

The tlop energy will never be forgotten, everyone was feeling every single song. This time, there was an entire stadium of people who were just standing there waiting for a knockout song that never came.

Use this Gospel Everything We Need, Closed on Sunday etc. are better than a lot of the songs on here. Much more polished that's for sure.

That's the issue with rushing this s*** out. It needs at least half a dozen more verses to really flesh out the tracks and that takes time
