This was supposed to be be a tribute to his mother or at least hint at slightly more content driven songwriting instead the damn features gave the most heartfelt performances of the entire album and the rest is brainless Christian s*** it remind me of one of my uncles who ain really Muslim deep down he just did that so he wouldn’t have to be held accountable for the s*** he did or at least reflect on it. That’s what Kanye is doing here and on JIK but sonically that album had at least something that nigga just flexing his success and thanking god and using him as a coping method I knew this was f***ed up when he got an ai of his mom just to hop on here and hype up her son like DJ drama

Like honestly I want to give him the benefit of the doubt and believe he’s using it to display how numb he is due to all the heartbreak he’s been through like his concept on 808s but then he’s got songs right next to it like that song with Travis and Keem that just don’t fit in with that aesthetic at all.

Because he doesn't let anyone else but the yes men in his crew - all of whom are talentless and afraid to tell him he's making trash - listen to his music until the very last minute, then when actual talented people hear it they inform him it's trash and he goes back to the drawing board.
This is also why Carti worked on WLR for like 2 years then scrapped everything and made it in 2 weeks in that warehouse in Atlanta
